The National Industrial Corporation (NIC) has acquired a unique place in India in the spread of Vocational education and training thereby ensuring overseas placement of skilled workforce globally. While the thrust has been given to establish industry-institute interface, and allowing students to undergo industry internship in mastering the innovative courses based on flexible curriculum developed for the students joining either the regular or the vocational modular programmed with a view to provide more industry interface and gainful employment opportunities to the pass-outs.

The real strength of NIC lies in its capacity to orient its students to become job ready under the guidance of highly competent, motivated and energetic faculty, trainers, officers and staff. The students will feel the difference owing to the ambience to develop themselves in a disciplined manner for increased productivity.

For overseas employment in Japan, the Japanese Language understanding is a mandatory requirement. Therefore, we have made arrangement for Japanese Language classes to start shortly from July 2019. The first batch of students are getting admitted to Japanese Language class for possible employment as unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled workforce during January-March 2020 in the various field such as nursing, building cleaning service, casting, industrial machine manufacturing, electric and electronic information, construction, shipbuilding and marine equipment, automobile repair, aviation, hotel, agriculture, fishery, food and drink manufacturing and food service.

Notwithstanding that the demand for skilled workforce from Japan has been raised in certain sectors; the NIC has launched the short duration Language proficiency course in 2019-20 session following the Govt. of India (GOI), Ministry of External Affairs guidelines. It is hoped that thus initiative of GOI towards the overseas placement in relevant fields to provide gainful employment to trained manpower would be appreciated by the people of India and Japan in strengthening of mutual understanding and co-operation.
